Principal’s Message

Welcome back Eastwood families! We are excited to kick off the 23-24 school year with new and returning students alike. Please note that the first day of school is Thursday, August 3rd and our new school hours are 9:30am-4:25pm. Please review the District Calendar so you can stay up to date with important events and dates occurring in the township.

Drop Off and Pick Up Information

• Car Riders – Thank you to the parents who are utilizing our car rider line to drop off your children.  In an effort to keep our line moving efficiently, we ask that ALL student drop offs happen utilizing the car rider line.  When families drop off in the parking lot, it backs up the traffic director and we cannot process the drop off quickly.
• If another family member or trusted adult must pick your student up from school early, please be sure that they are listed in your student’s emergency contacts in Skyward. A valid ID must be shown when picking up a student from the main office.

 

Bus Information

• Your bus assignment information will be available on Skyward shortly before the first day of school. For all Transportation information, please visit the Transportation website: https://www.msdwt.k12.in.us/transportation/ .
• Download the Here Comes The Bus app on your smart phone to track your child’s bus during the school year and to set up notifications when the bus gets close: https://www.msdwt.k12.in.us/transportation/bus-tracking/ .

 

Safety Requirement

For the safety of your students we want to be sure we have the most up to date and accurate information.  Please take a moment to log into Skyward Family Access – https://skyward.msdwt.k12.in.us – and complete the Data Clean-Up process. Parents will have the option to save and come back at a later time to complete the process. If you need additional guidance with this process, step by step directions can be found at http://www.msdwt.k12.in.us/cleanup. Log in credentials were sent via US mail to families in a Back to School packet.

 

Attendance

If your student must be absent from school for any reason, it is required to report that absence to the school in a timely manner using one of the following methods:

Book Rental and Instructional Fees

Book Rental and Instructional Fees will be collected in September via Skyward.

• Check out the Child Nutrition Webpage for important back-to-school updates including meal assistance applications, textbook assistance, breakfast/lunch menus, pricing, and much more.
• All Families are encouraged to set up an account at https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome
